Legislative CO2 emission targets lead to the necessity of an electrification of passenger vehicles. To achieve the goals, various concepts, from mild hybrid and 48V to plug-in hybrid systems, are developed. The interaction between electrical components (inverters, electric machines, …) and a conventional combustion engine requires comprehensive mechatronic know-how, which is provided by Engineering Center Steyr.
