We are living in a non-linear dynamic world and we love to simulate it. Multi-body system (MBS) analysis is a valuable tool for vehicle development processes, as it can consider these effects.

Passenger cars and especially trucks are complex systems that consist of several dynamically interacting subsystems.

To better understand and to correctly define vehicle parameter, it is necessary to use MBS models for several simulation tasks in an early development phase. These models include relevant non-linear properties, like spring and damper parameter, and are combined with finite element models of car bodies or truck frames to reproduce the structural flexibility and vibration.
